1. What SwitchDrive Does

SwitchDrive is a file migration service that helps users move files between cloud storage providers. We access your cloud storage accounts solely to copy files from your source provider to your destination provider on your behalf.

2. Information We Collect

OAuth Tokens: When you connect your cloud storage accounts, we receive temporary access tokens and refresh tokens from those providers. These tokens are encrypted at rest and used only to perform your file transfer. They are not stored permanently — tokens are held only for the duration of your transfer and are discarded afterward.

Email Address: We collect your email address (from your connected accounts) solely to send you a notification when your file transfer is complete.

Payment Information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details. Stripe's privacy policy governs that data.

File Metadata: During a transfer, we process file names, paths, and sizes to coordinate the migration. We do not read, analyze, index, or store the contents of your files. Files are streamed directly from your source to your destination.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate with your cloud storage providers and perform the file transfer you requested
• To send you an email when your transfer is complete
• To verify your payment status

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose other than completing your file transfer.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. The only third-party services that receive data are:

• Dropbox and Google — via their APIs, to perform the file transfer you authorized
• Stripe — to process your payment
• Resend — to deliver the transfer completion email

5. Data Retention

OAuth tokens are encrypted and held only during the active transfer. Once your transfer completes (or fails), tokens are no longer accessible. We do not maintain a database of user accounts or file histories.

6. Security

All tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before being stored in any workflow state. All connections use HTTPS/TLS. Files are streamed directly between providers and are not stored on our servers.

7. Your Rights

Since we do not maintain persistent user accounts or data, there is minimal personal data to delete. If you have questions or wish to confirm that no data is retained after your transfer, contact us at the email below.
